Introduction to the Guidance on Umrah:

The most important acts of worship during Umrah are as follows:

• To assume the state of Ihram at the Miqat after reciting Talbiyah with the intention of Umrah
• To perform the Tawaf i.e. the seven circuits around the Kabah and to call upon Allah in Du’a
• To follow it up by praying 2 Rakat preferably behind Maqam Ibrahim (or anywhere in Masjid al-Haram)
• To perform Sai’i between Safa and Marwah (after Tawaf). Beginning it from Safa and ending at Marwah with supplications throughout
• Ending the Umrah by the male pilgrim shaving or trimming the hair and the female pilgrim clipping the hair
